About Rounds Ranch

In December of 2001, our family, Ken, Geraldine and Carla Rounds, purchased the farm where Rounds Ranch is now located on County Road #92 between Elmvale and Wasaga Beach.  Formerly owned by Mac and Shirley Watson, this farm raised beef cattle for over 40 years.

With a passion to teach others the importance of farmers and farms, Rounds Ranch began with school tours where children could learn and have fun at the same time! Prior to the 1960's, children had family farms or relatives who owned farms where they obtained first hand knowledge of both animals and crops. They understood where our daily food comes from. Recognizing that many children today do not have this opportunity to visit a working farm with hands on learning, we are excited about being able to offer this experience to all ages.

In the spring, tours for J/K - gr 5 are offered which are designed to meet curriculm requirements in the areas of animals, plants and soils. Two new opportunities are available for grades 6-8:  Adventures in Leadership which focuses on character development and team building and a unique fundraising event for the senior class trip: An A-Maze-ing Race Ranch Edition. High School students have Adventures in Leadership available at an advance level.

In the fall, the Harvest season and the lifecycle of the pumpkin, along with the Western Corn Maze offer fun, learning and adventure for students from J/K - grade 12 with specifically designed and age appropriate programs.

Rounds Ranch has been open since 2002 to families of all ages, offering a large cornfield maze with clues to solve, questions to answer and stamps to find, a huge straw bale maze, pedal cart race track, sling shot, barnyard boxcars and wagon rides.  In 2004, horse trail rides and pony rides were added. In 2005, the Mist Maze opened, offering a great place to cool off on hot days, horse leasing was offered and a new Western Playground was built.  Rounds Ranch has become a popular place to have corporate and church picnics, birthday parties, offer adult and youth leadership training and a fun place to bring daycamps and youth groups.  As we grow, plans are in motion for a large indoor and outdoor horse arena, boarding horses, a new Western Town and some more surprises you just must come and see!

Adventures in Fun, Adventures in Learning, Adventures in Leadership Along with being open to the genreral public, we offer birthday parties, day camps, overnight camping, school & group tours, corporate functions and church events/picnics. This year we are pleased to offer a special 'Adventures in Leadership' program focusing on youth discovering their purpose in life.
